Zechariah 2:4
And said to him, 'Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls because of the multitude of people and cattle in it.'

3And I said to them, Do not let the gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot; and while they are standing by, let them shut and bar the doors: and appoint watches of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, every one in his watch, and every one opposite his house.
4Now the city was large and spacious, but the people were few in it, and the houses were not built.
3Thus says the LORD; I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts, the holy mountain.

5And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in its streets.
12Thus says the LORD of hosts: Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all its cities, there shall be a habitation for shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.
13In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places around Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, flocks shall again pass under the hands of him who counts them, says the LORD.
2Our feet shall stand within your gates, O Jerusalem.

17Then I said to them, You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. Come, let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach.
20Thus says the LORD of hosts; It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:
26Who confirms the word of his servant, and performs the counsel of his messengers; who says to Jerusalem, You shall be inhabited; and to the cities of Judah, You shall be built, and I will raise up the decayed places thereof:
7Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces.
10And you have numbered the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses you have broken down to fortify the wall.
10And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be built:
25Then shall there enter into the gates of this city kings and princes sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall remain forever.

8The Lord has purposed to destroy the wall of the daughter of Zion: He has stretched out a line, He has not withdrawn His hand from destroying: therefore He made the rampart and the wall to lament; they languished together.
14So the angel who spoke with me said to me, Proclaim, saying, Thus says the LORD of hosts: I am zealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with great zeal.
5He shall recount his nobles: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall thereof, and the defense shall be prepared.
29The whole city shall flee for the noise of the horsemen and bowmen; they shall go into thickets, and climb up upon the rocks: every city shall be forsaken, and not a man dwell in it.
15For behold, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, says the LORD; and they shall come, and every one shall set his throne at the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls all around, and against all the cities of Judah.
2Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; You have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no one lives there,
5Thus says the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are around her.
2Hear the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
5Declare in Judah, and proclaim in Jerusalem; and say, Blow the trumpet in the land: cry, gather together, and say, Assemble yourselves, and let us go into the fortified cities.
7Therefore he said to Judah, 'Let us build these cities, and make walls around them, with towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet at peace; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought Him, and He has given us rest on every side.' So they built and prospered.
