Shall we sin because we are not under the law but under grace? Certainly not! 16 Do you not know that if you offer yourselves as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—either of sin, which leads to death, or of obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you were slaves of sin, you obeyed from the heart the pattern of teaching to which you were entrusted. 18 Having been set free from sin, you became slaves to righteousness. 19 I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. Just as you presented the parts of your body as slaves to impurity and lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present them as slaves to righteousness leading to sanctification.
