The LORD said to her, 'Two nations are in your womb, and two peoples from within you will be separated. One people will be stronger than the other, and the older will serve the younger.'

You said, 'They have been laid waste and given over to us to devour.' 13 You boasted against me with your mouth and multiplied your words against me. I have heard it. 14 This is what the Sovereign LORD says: While the whole earth rejoices, I will make you desolate. 15 As you rejoiced over the inheritance of the house of Israel when it became desolate, so will I deal with you. As you have done, it will be done to you; your deeds will return upon your own head. 16 Just as you drank on my holy mountain, so all the nations will drink continually; they will drink and gulp down and be as though they had never been.
