7I will establish his kingdom forever if he is resolute in keeping My commandments and ordinances, as he is doing today.’
8Now, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the LORD, and in the hearing of our God, observe and seek all the commandments of the LORD your God so that you may possess this good land and leave it as an inheritance for your descendants forever.
9And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve Him with wholehearted devotion and a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every intent of the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.
10Consider now, for the LORD has chosen you to build a house as the sanctuary. Be strong and do it.
11Then David gave his son Solomon the plans for the portico of the temple, its buildings, its storerooms, its upper rooms, its inner rooms, and the room for the mercy seat.
12He also gave him the plans for all that the Spirit had put in his mind for the courts of the house of the LORD, all the surrounding rooms, the treasuries of the temple of God, and the treasuries for the consecrated things.
13He specified the divisions of the priests and Levites, for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the articles of service in the house of the LORD.
14He assigned the weight of gold for all gold articles used in every kind of service, and the weight of silver for all silver articles used in every kind of service.
