12 When you sin in this way against your brothers and sisters and wound their weak consciences, you are sinning against Christ.
13 Therefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will never eat meat again so that I will not cause my brother to stumble.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will vanish away.
9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,
1 Now, concerning spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be unaware.
2 You know that when you were Gentiles, you were led to speechless idols, however you were led.
1 If I speak in the tongues of people and of angels, but do not have love, I am like a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
2 If I have the gift of prophecy, understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
3 If I give everything I have to the poor and surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

6 Brothers and sisters, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your sake, so that you may learn from us not to go beyond what is written. Then you will not be puffed up in being a follower of one of us over and against another.
7 But just as you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all diligence, and in the love we inspired in you—see that you also excel in this grace of giving.
8 I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others.

8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they will keep you from being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
19 Again, do you think that we are defending ourselves to you? We are speaking before God in Christ, and all these things, beloved, are for your edification.
1 Pursue love, and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy.
9 And this is my prayer, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight.
23 Everything is permissible, but not everything is beneficial. Everything is permissible, but not everything builds up.
14 Let all that you do be done in love.
5 That in every way you were enriched in him, in all speech and all knowledge,
8 To one, a message of wisdom is given through the Spirit; to another, a message of knowledge by the same Spirit;
16 For who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
19 So then, let us pursue what promotes peace and what builds up one another.
13 And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.
8 Even if I boast a little more about the authority the Lord gave us for building you up and not for tearing you down, I will not be ashamed.
19 What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or that food sacrificed to idols is anything?

14 I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to instruct one another.
7 Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

1 We who are strong ought to bear with the weaknesses of those who are weak, and not to please ourselves.

8 Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
