But the word of God is not chained. 10 For this reason, I endure all things for the sake of the elect, so they also may obtain salvation in Christ Jesus, along with eternal glory.

She wiped them with the hair of her head, kissed His feet repeatedly, and anointed them with the perfume. 39 When the Pharisee who had invited Him saw this, he said to himself, 'If this man were a prophet, He would know who and what kind of woman is touching Him—she is a sinner.'

I am giving half of my possessions to the poor, and if I have cheated anyone, I will pay back four times as much." 9 Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man too is a son of Abraham." 10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost.

  • 1 Cor 9:18-22 : 18 What then is my reward? It is that when I preach the gospel, I may offer it free of charge, so as not to make full use of my right in the gospel. 19 For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to everyone, so that I might win more of them. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law, I became like one under the law, even though I myself am not under the law, to win those under the law. 21 To those without the law, I became like one without the law (not being without God’s law but under the law of Christ), to win those without the law. 22 To the weak, I became weak, to win the weak. They keep crying to me, saying, ‘Give us meat to eat!’ 14 I cannot carry all these people by myself; the burden is too heavy for me.
