4But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak—not to please people, but to please God, who examines our hearts.
5For we never used words of flattery, as you know, nor did we put forth a pretext for greed—God is our witness.
7And our hope for you is steadfast, because we know that as you share in our sufferings, you also share in our comfort.
8For this reason, although I have great boldness in Christ to command you to do what is right,
10So that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.
18But as surely as God is faithful, our message to you is not "Yes" and "No."
20Now in what I am writing to you, I assure you before God that I am not lying.
5I thank God for your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now.
6Just as the testimony of Christ was confirmed among you,
25Since I am convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith,
15Neither do we go beyond our limits by boasting in the labors of others. But our hope is that as your faith continues to grow, our sphere of activity among you will greatly expand,
