12For this is our boast: The testimony of our conscience is that we have conducted ourselves in the world, and especially in our relations with you, with integrity and godly sincerity, not relying on worldly wisdom but on God's grace.
13For we write nothing to you other than what you can read and understand, and I hope that you will fully understand,
14just as you have partially understood us, that we are your reason for pride, just as you are ours, in the day of the Lord Jesus.
9It was not that we lack the right to receive support, but we wanted to offer ourselves as an example for you to imitate.

6So we urged Titus, just as he had earlier begun, to complete this act of grace among you as well.
6Brothers and sisters, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your sake, so that you may learn from us not to go beyond what is written. Then you will not be puffed up in being a follower of one of us over and against another.
2I beg you that when I am present, I will not have to be bold with the confidence I consider using against some, who think we live according to the flesh.
2Instead, we have renounced secret and shameful ways. We do not act deceitfully or distort the word of God, but by revealing the truth, we commend ourselves to everyone's conscience in the sight of God.
1Beloved, this is now the second letter I am writing to you, in which I am stirring up your sincere mind by way of reminder,
5Because our gospel came to you not only in words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit, and with deep conviction. As you know, we lived among you for your sake.
24Therefore, show these men the proof of your love and the reason for our pride in you, so that the churches can see it.
9Surely you remember, brothers and sisters, our labor and toil. We worked night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you while we proclaimed to you the gospel of God.
10You are witnesses, and so is God, of how devoutly, righteously, and blamelessly we conducted ourselves among you who believe.
8For the word of the Lord has sounded forth from you—not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but your faith in God has gone out everywhere, so that we don’t need to say anything.
9For they themselves tell about how you welcomed us and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God.
3But I have sent the brothers so that our boasting about you in this matter might not be empty, so that you may be ready, just as I said.
8For this reason, although I have great boldness in Christ to command you to do what is right,
2If I am not an apostle to others, surely I am to you. For you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.
10For am I now trying to win the approval of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
17Join together in imitating me, brothers and sisters, and keep your eyes on those who live as we do, as they are an example for you.
6But now Timothy has come to us from you and has brought us good news about your faith and love, and that you always have good remembrance of us, longing to see us, just as we also long to see you.
7For you yourselves know how you should imitate us, because we were not idle when we were with you.
1Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him,
