  • 4But just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak—not to please people, but to please God, who examines our hearts.

  • 22Or are we trying to provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He is?

  • 9and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.

  • 9Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened so that we would not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.
