    7 But you, be strong and do not let your hands hang limp, for your work will be rewarded.

    8 When Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, removed the detestable idols from the whole land of Judah and Benjamin and from the towns he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. He restored the altar of the LORD that was in front of the LORD’s temple.

    9 Then he assembled all Judah and Benjamin and those from Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had settled among them, for a great number had come over to him from Israel when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.

  • 12 Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army coming against us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.

  • 24 Though the Aramean army had come with only a small force of men, the Lord delivered into their hands a very large army because Judah had forsaken the Lord, the God of their ancestors. So they executed judgment against Joash.
