37and they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and they repent and plead with You in the land of their captivity, saying, 'We have sinned, we have done wrong, and we have acted wickedly.'
38And when they return to You with all their heart and soul in the land of their captivity where they were taken, and they pray toward the land You gave to their ancestors, the city You have chosen, and the house I have built for Your name,
39then hear from heaven, Your dwelling place, their prayer and their supplications. Uphold their cause and forgive Your people who have sinned against You.
40Now, my God, may Your eyes be open and Your ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place.

13When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people,
14if My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and heal their land.
52May Your eyes be open to Your servant’s plea and to the plea of Your people Israel, and may You listen to them whenever they call to You.

14then I will provide the rain for your land in its proper season—the early rain and the late rain—so that you may gather your grain, new wine, and oil.
17Is it not wheat harvest today? I will call out to the LORD, and He will send thunder and rain. Then you will realize and see how great is the evil you have done in the eyes of the LORD by asking for a king.
1Ask the LORD for rain in the spring season. It is the LORD who makes lightning flashes and provides abundant rain for everyone, giving vegetation in the fields.
15Look down from your holy dwelling place in heaven and bless your people Israel and the land you have given us, a land flowing with milk and honey, as you swore to our ancestors.
7For the land that drinks in the rain that often falls on it and produces crops useful to those for whom it is cultivated receives a blessing from God.
22Can any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Can the skies themselves send showers? No, it is You, LORD our God. Therefore, we put our hope in You, for You have done all these things.
17Then the LORD’s anger will burn against you, and He will shut up the heavens so that there will be no rain, and the land will yield no produce. Then you will soon perish from the good land the LORD is giving you.
14He said: 'LORD, God of Israel, there is no God like You in heaven or on earth, keeping Your covenant and showing lovingkindness to Your servants who walk before You with all their heart.
19Please pardon the iniquity of this people, according to the greatness of your steadfast love, just as you have forgiven them from Egypt until now.
