2As a result, you should no longer live the rest of your earthly life for human desires but instead for the will of God.
16Therefore, we do not lose heart. Even though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
9It was not that we lack the right to receive support, but we wanted to offer ourselves as an example for you to imitate.
13Let us walk properly, as in the daytime, not in revelries and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in strife and jealousy.
14But clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not make provision for the desires of the flesh.
4No one serving as a soldier gets entangled in the affairs of civilian life; instead, they strive to please the one who enlisted them.
11Let such people realize that what we are in our letters while absent, we will be in our actions when present.
26Therefore, I run with purpose in every step; I fight not like someone beating the air.
5For even when we came into Macedonia, our bodies had no rest, but we were afflicted in every way—conflicts on the outside, fears within.
