17Therefore, I say this and testify in the Lord: You should no longer walk as the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their minds.
18They are darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardness of their hearts.
19They have become callous and have given themselves over to sensuality for the practice of every kind of impurity with greediness.

12were at that time separated from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
