13 So the king said, "Go and see where he is, so I can send men to capture him." When he was told, "He is in Dothan,"
14 So the king sent horses, chariots, and a large army there. They arrived at night and surrounded the city.
15 When the servant of the man of God got up early the next morning and went out, he saw an army with horses and chariots surrounding the city. He said, "Oh no, my master! What shall we do?"
14 He took the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and struck the water with it. 'Where now is the LORD, the God of Elijah?' he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over.
15 The company of the prophets from Jericho saw him from a distance and said, 'The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha.' And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him.
16 They said to him, 'Look, we have fifty able men among your servants. Let them go and search for your master. Perhaps the Spirit of the LORD has picked him up and set him down on some mountain or in some valley.' But Elisha replied, 'Do not send them.'
17 But they persisted until he was too ashamed to refuse. So he said, 'Send them.' And they sent fifty men, who searched for three days but did not find him.
18 When they returned to Elisha, who was staying in Jericho, he said to them, 'Didn't I tell you not to go?'
19 The people of the city said to Elisha, 'Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad, and the land is unproductive.'
20 Elisha said, 'Bring me a new bowl and put salt in it.' So they brought it to him.
31 He said, "May God deal with me, be it ever so severely, if the head of Elisha son of Shaphat remains on his shoulders today!"
32 Now Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders were sitting with him. The king sent a messenger ahead, but before he arrived, Elisha said to the elders, "Do you see how this murderer is sending someone to cut off my head? Look, when the messenger arrives, shut the door and hold it shut against him. Is not the sound of his master's footsteps behind him?"
33 While he was still speaking with them, the messenger came down to him. The king said, "This disaster is from the LORD. Why should I wait any longer for the LORD?"
6 But the servant replied, "Look, there is a man of God in this town, and he is highly respected. Everything he says comes true. Let’s go there now; perhaps he can tell us the way to go."
4 Then Elijah said to him, "Please stay here, for the LORD has sent me to Jericho." But Elisha replied, "As the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So they went to Jericho.
6 Then Elijah said to him, "Please stay here, for the LORD has sent me to the Jordan." But Elisha replied, "As the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So the two of them went on.
2 Elijah said to Elisha, "Please stay here, for the LORD has sent me to Bethel." But Elisha replied, "As the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So they went to Bethel.

13 Elisha said to the king of Israel, "What do we have to do with each other? Go to the prophets of your father and the prophets of your mother." But the king of Israel said to him, "No, because it is the LORD who has called these three kings together to hand them over to Moab."
24 Afterward, Ben-Hadad, king of Aram, gathered his entire army and marched up to lay siege to Samaria.
2 When you arrive there, look for Jehu son of Jehoshaphat son of Nimshi. Go to him, make him rise from among his companions, and lead him into an inner room.
15 The LORD said to him, 'Go back the way you came, and go to the wilderness of Damascus. When you arrive, anoint Hazael as king over Aram.'

26 But Elisha said to him, 'Was my spirit not with you when the man got down from his chariot to meet you? Is this the time to take money or accept clothes, olive groves, vineyards, sheep, cattle, male servants, and female servants?'
16 I will lead the blind by a way they did not know; along unfamiliar paths, I will guide them. I will turn darkness before them into light and make the rough places level. These are the things I will do, and I will not abandon them.
12 Their father asked them, 'Which way did he go?' His sons showed him the road the man of God from Judah had taken.
9 'For this is the command the LORD gave me by His word: You must not eat bread or drink water or return by the way you came.'
10 So he went another way and did not return by the way he had come to Bethel.
6 He brought the letter to the king of Israel, which read: 'Now, when this letter reaches you, know that I have sent you my servant Naaman, so that you may cure him of his leprosy.'
14 He went after the man of God and found him sitting under an oak tree. He asked him, 'Are you the man of God who came from Judah?' He replied, 'I am.'
25 From there, he went on to Mount Carmel, and from there he returned to Samaria.

7 Elisha came to Damascus, and Ben-Hadad, the king of Aram, was sick. It was reported to him, "The man of God has come all the way here."

20 Elisha left the oxen, ran after Elijah, and said, 'Let me kiss my father and mother goodbye, and then I will follow you.' Elijah said to him, 'Go back, for what have I done to you?'
6 They answered, 'A man came to meet us and said, "Go back to the king who sent you and tell him: This is what the LORD says: 'Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore, you will not leave the bed you are lying on. You will surely die.'"'
