    20 Ahab said to Elijah, 'So, have you found me, my enemy?' 'I have found you,' he answered, 'because you have devoted yourself to doing evil in the eyes of the LORD.'

    1 After these events, there was a vineyard belonging to Naboth the Jezreelite, in Jezreel, next to the palace of Ahab, king of Samaria.

    2 Ahab said to Naboth, 'Give me your vineyard so I can use it as a vegetable garden, because it is close to my house. In exchange, I will give you a better vineyard, or if you prefer, I will pay you its worth in silver.'

    3 But Naboth said to Ahab, 'The LORD forbid that I should give you my ancestral inheritance!'

    4 Ahab went home sullen and angry because of what Naboth the Jezreelite had said when he told him, 'I will not give you my inheritance.' He lay on his bed, turned his face away, and refused to eat.

    36 They went back and told Jehu, who said, 'This is the word of the LORD that he spoke through his servant Elijah the Tishbite: “In the plot of land at Jezreel, dogs will devour the flesh of Jezebel.”'

    37 'Jezebel’s body will be like dung on the field in the plot of land at Jezreel, so that no one will be able to say, “This is Jezebel.”'

    17 When the watchman standing on the tower in Jezreel saw Jehu's company approaching, he called out, 'I see a company!' Joram said, 'Send a rider to meet them and ask, “Do you come in peace?”'
