21Saul answered, "Am I not a Benjamite, from the smallest of the tribes of Israel? And is not my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? Why do you speak to me this way?"
8Then Amalek came and fought with Israel at Rephidim.
55When Saul saw David going out to confront the Philistine, he asked Abner, the commander of his army, 'Abner, whose son is this young man?' Abner replied, 'As surely as you live, O king, I do not know.'

14But Samuel said, 'What is this sound of sheep and cattle that I hear?'
10When someone told me, 'Saul is dead,' thinking he was bringing me good news, I seized him and killed him in Ziklag. That was the reward I gave him for his news.
29David replied, 'What have I done now? Was it not just a question?'
22David answered and said, "Here is the king's spear. Let one of the young men come over and take it.
18Saul approached Samuel at the city gate and asked, "Please tell me where the seer's house is."
1David got up and left, while Jonathan returned to the city.
