    38 If you listen to all that I command you and walk in My ways, doing what is right in My eyes by keeping My statutes and commands, as My servant David did, then I will be with you. I will build you a sure house, as I built for David, and I will give Israel to you.

    16 And your house and your kingdom shall be made sure forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.

    17 Nathan spoke all these words and this entire vision to David.

    18 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said, "Who am I, O Lord GOD, and what is my house, that you have brought me thus far?

    19 And yet this was a small thing in your eyes, O Lord GOD. You have also spoken of your servant's house for a long time to come, and this is instruction for mankind, O Lord GOD!

    15 Nathan relayed all these words and this entire vision to David.

    16 Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said: "Who am I, LORD God, and what is my house, that you have brought me this far?

    17 And as if this were not enough in your sight, O God, you have spoken about the future of the house of your servant. You have regarded me as though I were of high rank, LORD God.

    18 What more can David say to you for honoring your servant? For you know your servant.
