12 The Horites also lived in Seir formerly, but the descendants of Esau dispossessed them. They destroyed them and settled in their place, just as Israel did in the land the LORD gave them as their possession.
4 And he commanded the people, saying, ‘You are about to pass through the territory of your relatives, the descendants of Esau, who live in Seir. They will be afraid of you, so be very careful.

17 The Arabah, the Jordan, and its border, from Chinnereth to the east side of the Dead Sea (the Sea of the Arabah), beneath the slopes of Pisgah, was also included.
27 ‘Go up to the top of Pisgah and look west, north, south, and east. See it with your eyes, for you will not cross the Jordan.’
