Isn’t it better for you to be a priest for a tribe and a clan in Israel rather than for one man's household?' 20 The priest was glad in his heart. He took the ephod, the household gods, and the carved image and went along with the people. 21 They turned and left, placing the children, the livestock, and their goods in front of them. 22 When they had gone some distance from Micah’s house, the men who lived near Micah gathered together and overtook the Danites. 23 They called out to the Danites, who turned to face them, and said to Micah, 'What’s the matter with you, that you have called your men together?' 24 Micah replied, 'You’ve taken my gods that I made and my priest and gone away! What else do I have? How can you ask me, “What’s the matter with you?”'
