    34 Rachel had taken the household idols, put them in the camel’s saddle, and was sitting on them. Laban searched the entire tent but did not find them.

    35 Rachel said to her father, 'Let my lord not be angry that I cannot stand up in your presence, for I am having my period.' So he searched, but he did not find the household idols.

    36 Then Jacob became angry and confronted Laban. 'What is my crime?' he asked. 'What sin have I committed that you have pursued me?

    37 You have searched through all my belongings. What have you found that belongs to your household? Place it here in front of my relatives and yours, and let them judge between us.
