7 I thought, 'After she has done all this, she will return to me.' But she did not return, and her unfaithful sister Judah saw it.
8 I gave faithless Israel her certificate of divorce and sent her away because of all her adulteries. Yet I saw that her unfaithful sister Judah had no fear; she also went out and prostituted herself.

11 Then Judah said to his daughter-in-law Tamar, 'Live as a widow in your father’s house until my son Shelah grows up,' for he thought, 'He might die too, just like his brothers.' So Tamar went to live in her father’s house.
