They will call you the City of the Lord, Zion of the Holy One of Israel. 15 Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, with no one passing through, I will make you an everlasting pride, a joy of all generations. 16 You will suck the milk of nations; you will nurse at royal breasts. Then you will know that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. 17 Instead of bronze I will bring gold, and instead of iron I will bring silver; instead of wood, bronze; and instead of stones, iron. I will make your overseers peace and your rulers righteousness. 18 Violence will no longer be heard in your land, nor ruin or destruction within your borders. You will name your walls Salvation and your gates Praise. 19 The sun will no longer be your light by day, nor the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. 20 Your sun will no longer set, and your moon will not wane; for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of mourning will come to an end. 21 Your people will all be righteous; they will inherit the land forever— the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, for my glory. 22 The least of you will become a thousand, and the smallest one a mighty nation. I, the Lord, will hasten it in its time.
