18 By your many sins and your dishonest trade, you have profaned your sanctuaries. So I brought fire out from within you, and it consumed you. I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all those watching.
15 This is the jubilant city that dwelled securely and said in her heart, 'I am, and there is no one besides me.' How she has become a desolation, a resting place for wild animals! Everyone who passes by her hisses and shakes his fist.
11 Therefore, this is what the Lord God says: "An enemy will surround the land, bring down your strength, and plunder your fortresses."
