15O Lord, the God of Israel, you are righteous! We are left with this remnant today. Here we are before you in our guilt, though no one can stand in your presence because of this.
3You who hear prayer, to you all humanity will come.
25Let us lie down in our shame, and let our disgrace cover us. We have sinned against the LORD our God, both we and our ancestors; from our youth to this day, we have not obeyed the voice of the LORD our God.

3If You, LORD, keep a record of iniquities, Lord, who could stand?
19Please pardon the iniquity of this people, according to the greatness of your steadfast love, just as you have forgiven them from Egypt until now.
37and they have a change of heart in the land where they are held captive, and they repent and plead with You in the land of their captivity, saying, 'We have sinned, we have done wrong, and we have acted wickedly.'
20You have crushed us in the place of jackals and covered us with deep darkness.
