22Then I commanded the Levites to purify themselves and to guard the gates in order to keep the Sabbath day holy. Remember me also for this, my God, and show mercy to me according to your great love.

7So I stationed people in the lowest parts behind the wall, in the open areas, and I positioned them by families with their swords, spears, and bows.

25I weighed out to them the silver, gold, and articles—the offering for the house of our God that the king, his counselors, his officials, and all the Israelites who were present had donated.
4Then Judah said, 'The strength of the laborers is failing, and there is so much rubble that we are unable to rebuild the wall.'
4'I will send it out,' declares the LORD of Hosts, 'and it will enter the house of the thief and the house of the one who swears falsely by my name. It will remain inside their house and consume it completely, including its timber and stones.'
14Remember me, my God, for this, and do not erase the good deeds that I have done for the house of my God and its services.
17Then I said to them, "You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem is in ruins, and its gates have been burned by fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, so that we will no longer be a disgrace."
3Moreover, because of my delight in the house of my God, I now dedicate my personal treasure of gold and silver for the house of my God, in addition to all I have already provided for the holy house.
16The priests entered the inner part of the house of the LORD to cleanse it. They brought out all the unclean things they found in the temple of the LORD and carried them to the courtyard of the house of the LORD. The Levites then took them and carried them out to the Kidron Valley.
18He carried away all the articles of the house of God, both large and small, and the treasures of the LORD’s house, as well as the treasures of the king and of his officials. He brought them all to Babylon.
19They burned the house of God, tore down the wall of Jerusalem, and burned all its palaces with fire, destroying all its valuable articles.
20then I will uproot you from My land that I have given you, and I will reject this temple I have consecrated for My name. I will make it a byword and an object of ridicule among all peoples.
