In the valley, Beth Haram, Beth Nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon—the rest of the kingdom of Sihon king of Heshbon, along with the Jordan and its boundary, reaching as far as the edge of the Sea of Kinnereth on the eastern side of the Jordan.
This was the inheritance of the tribe of Gad, according to their clans—the cities and their villages.
Moses also gave an inheritance to half the tribe of Manasseh, and this was allotted to the half-tribe according to their clans:
Their territory extended from Mahanaim and included all of Bashan, the entire kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the settlements of Jair in Bashan—sixty towns.
It also included half of Gilead, as well as Ashtaroth and Edrei, the royal cities of Og in Bashan. This was for the descendants of Machir son of Manasseh—for half the descendants of Machir, according to their clans.
These are the portions of land that Moses distributed as inheritances on the plains of Moab, beyond the Jordan east of Jericho.
