6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being a priest to me; seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I will also forget your children.

26 For they went and served other gods, and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom he had not given to them:
1 In those days there was no king in Israel, and in those days the tribe of the Danites sought an inheritance for themselves to live in, for until that day their inheritance had not fallen to them among the tribes of Israel.
33 Because they have forsaken me, and have worshiped Ashtoreth the goddess of the Zidonians, Chemosh the god of the Moabites, and Milcom the god of the children of Ammon, and have not walked in my ways, to do what is right in my eyes, and to keep my statutes and my judgments, as did David his father.
3 And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and did not seek after the Baal idols;
15 They rejected his statutes and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; they followed worthless idols, and became worthless themselves, and went after the nations that were around them, although the LORD had commanded them not to do like them.
