10 And in this I give my advice: it is beneficial for you who began a year ago not only to do but also to desire to do it.
4 Lest if those of Macedonia come with me and find you unprepared, we (not to say you) should be ashamed of this same confident boasting.
5 Therefore I thought it necessary to urge the brethren, that they would go ahead to you and prepare in advance your generous gift, which had been promised before, that it might be ready as a matter of generosity, and not as of covetousness.
6 But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.
10 As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
11 Being enriched in everything to all bountifulness, which through us produces thanksgiving to God.

17 Charge those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy;
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share;
8 Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you to do what is fitting,

17 Because you say, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and do not know that you are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
