13 Although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
9 For I am the least of the apostles, who am not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.
14 For you, brothers, became followers of the churches of God which are in Judea in Christ Jesus: for you also have suffered the same things from your own countrymen, just as they did from the Jews:
19 And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned and beat in every synagogue those who believed in you.
10 Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them.
11 And I punished them often in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even to foreign cities.
12 Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,

4 My manner of life from my youth, which was at the beginning among my own nation at Jerusalem, all the Jews know;

21 And they said to him, We have neither received letters from Judea concerning you, nor have any of the brethren who came reported or spoken any evil of you.
2 And I went up by revelation and communicated to them the gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to those of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
6 Regarding zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness in the law, blameless.
3 I am indeed a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, but brought up in this city at the feet of Gamaliel, and taught according to the perfect manner of the law of our fathers, and was zealous toward God, as you all are today.
4 And I persecuted this way to the death, binding and delivering into prisons both men and women.
5 As also the high priest bears me witness, and all the council of the elders, from whom I also received letters to the brothers, and went to Damascus to bring those who were there bound to Jerusalem, to be punished.
6 And it happened, that as I made my journey and was near Damascus around noon, suddenly a great light from heaven shone around me.
7 And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?
8 And I answered, Who are you, Lord? And he said to me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you persecute.
6 But from those who seemed to be something (whatever they were, it makes no difference to me: God accepts no man's person), for those who seemed to be something added nothing to me:
41 And he went through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches.
26 And when Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and did not believe that he was a disciple.
27 But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles, and declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
28 And he was with them, moving about freely in Jerusalem,
13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers, that I often planned to come to you, (but was hindered until now,) that I might have some fruit among you also, just as among other Gentiles.
16 And to pass by you into Macedonia, and to come again out of Macedonia to you, and by you to be brought on my way toward Judea.
22 And see, now I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will happen to me there,
30 Having the same conflict which you saw in me and now hear to be in me.
21 For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and attempted to kill me.
17 But the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel.
