19So it was, at the gates of Jerusalem as it began to be dark before the Sabbath, that I commanded the gates to be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the Sabbath. Then I stationed some of my servants at the gates, so that no burdens would be brought in on the Sabbath day.
13If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day; and call the Sabbath a delight, the holy day of the LORD, honorable; and shall honor him, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words:
3Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, a holy gathering; you shall do no work in it; it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.

36And the burden of the LORD you shall mention no more; for every man's word shall be his burden, for you have perverted the words of the living God, of the LORD of hosts our God.
2You shall keep my Sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary: I am the LORD.
14You shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy to you: everyone who defiles it shall surely be put to death: for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people.
15Six days may work be done; but the seventh is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
16Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, as a perpetual covenant.
7Two divisions of you who go off duty on the Sabbath shall guard the house of the LORD around the king.
2And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, who sits upon the throne of David, you, and your servants, and your people who enter by these gates:
6Then the LORD said to me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear the words of this covenant, and do them.
21Six days you shall work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; in plowing time and in harvest you shall rest.

2Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who takes hold of it; who keeps the sabbath from polluting it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil.
4This is what you shall do: A third part of you entering on the Sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall be gatekeepers of the doors;
3You shall kindle no fire throughout your dwellings on the sabbath day.
14But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD your God: in it you shall not do any work, you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates; that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
8You have despised My holy things, and have profaned My sabbaths.

9Thus says the LORD, After this manner will I mar the pride of Judah, and the great pride of Jerusalem.
21And you shall proclaim on the same day that it may be a holy gathering to you; you shall do no servile work in it; it shall be a statute forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
