18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

27 But if you will not listen to me to hallow the sabbath day, and not to bear a burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day; then will I kindle a fire in the gates thereof, and it shall devour the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched.
6 Then the LORD said to me, Proclaim all these words in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, saying, Hear the words of this covenant, and do them.
12 Then shall the cities of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem go and cry to the gods to whom they offer incense, but they shall not save them at all in their time of trouble.
13 For according to the number of your cities were your gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem have you set up altars to that shameful thing, even altars to burn incense to Baal.
14 Therefore do not pray for this people, nor lift up a cry or prayer for them, for I will not hear them in the time that they cry to me for their trouble.
21 The incense that you burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, you, and your fathers, your kings, and your princes, and the people of the land, did not the LORD remember them, and did it not come into his mind?
19 Thus said the LORD to me; Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come in, and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;
20 And say to them, Hear the word of the LORD, you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by these gates:
21 Thus says the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;
8 Therefore, the wrath of the LORD was upon Judah and Jerusalem, and He has delivered them to trouble, to astonishment, and to hissing, as you see with your eyes.
16 And I will utter My judgments against them concerning all their wickedness, who have forsaken Me, and have burned incense to other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.
6 Therefore my fury and my anger was poured forth, and kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.
7 Therefore now thus says the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Why do you commit this great evil against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and infant, out of Judah, to leave you no one to remain;
17 Then he said to me, Have you seen this, O son of man? Is it a trivial thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
29 Cut off your hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high places; for the LORD has rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.
30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, says the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.
17 Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the works of their hands; therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and shall not be quenched.
9 Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they have committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?
17 They caused their sons and daughters to pass through the fire, practiced divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
9 Will you steal, murder, and commit adultery, and swear falsely, and burn incense to Baal, and walk after other gods whom you do not know;
10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my name, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations?
11 Is this house, which is called by my name, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, says the LORD.
12 But go now to my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my name at first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel.

24 And it shall come to pass, if you diligently listen to me, says the LORD, to bring in no burden through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but hallow the sabbath day, to do no work therein;
1 Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if you can find a man, if there is anyone who executes judgment, who seeks the truth; and I will pardon it.
11 There they burned incense on all the high places, as the nations had done whom the LORD carried away before them; and they did wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger.
7 In you they have treated father and mother with contempt: in your midst they have dealt oppressively with the stranger: in you they have wronged the fatherless and the widow.
9 Then he said to me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD has forsaken the earth, and the LORD does not see.
32 Because of all the evil of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; they will have no one to bury them—neither them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters—for I will pour their wickedness upon them.
3 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Amend your ways and your deeds, and I will allow you to dwell in this place.
27 I have seen your adulteries, and your neighings, the lewdness of your whoredom, and your abominations on the hills in the fields. Woe to you, O Jerusalem! Will you not be made clean? When shall it once be?
7 Should you not hear the words which the LORD has proclaimed by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities around her, when men inhabited the South and the plain?

17 As keepers of a field, they are against her all around; because she has been rebellious against me, says the LORD.
5 For who shall have pity upon you, O Jerusalem? or who shall bemoan you? or who shall turn aside to ask how you are?

2 Judah mourns, and its gates languish; they are in mourning on the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem has gone up.
20 Behold, O Lord, and consider to whom You have done this. Shall the women eat their offspring, the children of a span long? shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?
17 Therefore thus says the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken to them, but they have not heard; and I have called to them, but they have not answered.
8 Be instructed, O Jerusalem, lest my soul depart from you; lest I make you desolate, a land not inhabited.
5 For if you thoroughly amend your ways and your deeds; if you thoroughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbor;
2 Hear the words of this covenant, and speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem;
13 And the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, shall be defiled like the place of Tophet, because of all the houses upon whose roofs they have burned incense to all the host of heaven, and have poured out drink offerings to other gods.
