18 And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God has given you this land to possess; all you who are able shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel.
24 So the children entered and possessed the land; You subdued before them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites, and gave them into their hands, with their kings and the people of the land, so that they might do with them as they wished.
