For he was cut off from the land of the living: for the transgression of my people he was stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, nor was there any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he has put him to grief: when you make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand. 11 He shall see the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge, my righteous servant shall justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
  • Dan 9:24-26 : 24 Seventy weeks are determined upon your people and upon your holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem until the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times. 26 And after sixty-two weeks, the Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; its end shall be with a flood, and until the end of the war desolations are determined.
