Verse 9

For I am the least of the apostles, not worthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

So they led him by the hand into Damascus. 9 For three days he was without sight, and he neither ate nor drank. 10 There was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, "Ananias." He replied, "Here I am, Lord." 11 The Lord said to him, "Get up and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas, look for a man of Tarsus named Saul. For he is praying. 12 In a vision, he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and placing his hands on him so that he might regain his sight." 13 Ananias answered, "Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much harm he has done to Your saints in Jerusalem. 14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to arrest all who call on Your name. 15 But the Lord said to him, "Go, for this man is My chosen instrument to carry My name before Gentiles, kings, and the sons of Israel. 16 For I will show him how much he must suffer for My name’s sake." 17 Ananias went, entered the house, and after placing his hands on him, said, "Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming—has sent me so that you might regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit." 18 At once, something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight.
