  • Luke 6:43-44 : 43 No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from bramble bushes.
  • Matt 7:16-20 : 16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot produce good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, you will recognize them by their fruits.
  • Matt 12:33 : 33 Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for a tree is known by its fruit.
  • Rom 11:16-18 : 16 If the first portion of the dough is holy, so is the whole batch; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. 17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, a wild olive shoot, were grafted in among them and have come to share in the rich root of the olive tree, 18 do not boast against the branches. If you do boast, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.

  • Ezek 47:8-9 : 8 He said to me, 'This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it flows into the sea, the water there becomes fresh.' 9 Every living creature that swarms wherever the river goes will live. There will be many fish because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows, everything will live. 10 Fishermen will stand along its shores; from En Gedi to En Eglaim, there will be places to spread nets. The fish will be of many kinds, like the fish of the Great Sea, very numerous. 11 But the swamps and marshes will not become fresh; they will be left for salt.
  • Exod 15:23-25 : 23 When they came to Marah, they could not drink its water because it was bitter. That is why the place is called Marah. 24 So the people grumbled against Moses, saying, 'What are we to drink?' 25 Then Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a piece of wood. He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet. There the LORD made a statute and an ordinance for them, and there He tested them.

So they brought it to him. 21 Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, 'This is what the LORD says: I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.' 22 And the water has remained pure to this day, according to the word Elisha had spoken.
  • Isa 5:2-4 : 2 He dug it and cleared it of stones and planted it with the choicest vines. He built a tower in its center and also carved out a winepress in it. He hoped it would produce good grapes, but it yielded only wild ones. 3 Now then, you inhabitants of Jerusalem and people of Judah, judge between me and my vineyard. 4 What more could I have done for my vineyard than I have already done? Why, when I expected it to produce good grapes, did it yield only wild ones?
