But I have not been summoned to come to the king for thirty days.’ 12 When Mordecai was informed of what Esther said, 13 he sent back this reply to her: ‘Do not think that because you are in the king's house you alone will escape the fate of all the Jews.’ 14 If you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows? Perhaps you have come to your royal position for such a time as this. 15 Then Esther sent this reply to Mordecai: 16 Go, gather all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. After that, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish. 17 So Mordecai went away and did everything Esther had instructed him to do.

They stopped, looking sad. 18 One of them, named Cleopas, replied, "Are you the only one visiting Jerusalem who does not know what has happened in these days?" 19 He asked, "What things?" They replied, "The things about Jesus of Nazareth, who was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. 20 The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death, and they crucified him. 21 But we had hoped that he was the one who was going to redeem Israel. What is more, it is the third day since all this happened. 22 In addition, some women of our group amazed us. They went to the tomb early this morning, 23 but did not find his body. They came back and told us that they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. 24 Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see him. 25 He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. 28 As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus acted as if he were going farther. 29 But they urged him strongly, saying, "Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over." So he went in to stay with them. 30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it, and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened, and they recognized him; and he disappeared from their sight.

You will be called Cephas' (which when translated is Peter). 43 The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, He said to him, 'Follow Me.' 44 Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip found Nathanael and told him, 'We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and so did the prophets: Jesus, the son of Joseph, from Nazareth.' 46 'Can anything good come out of Nazareth?'
