For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people, he was punished. 9 He was assigned a grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death, though he had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth. 10 Yet it was the Lord's will to crush him and cause him to suffer. When you make his life an offering for sin, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand. 11 After his suffering, he will see the result and be satisfied. By his knowledge, my righteous servant will justify many, and he will bear their iniquities. 12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, and he will divide the spoils with the strong, because he poured out his life unto death and was numbered with the transgressors. He bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors.
  • Dan 9:24-26 : 24 Seventy weeks have been decreed for your people and your holy city to finish transgression, to put an end to sin, to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy Place. 25 Know and understand this: From the issuance of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until the Anointed One, the Prince, will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be rebuilt with streets and a moat, but in difficult times. 26 After the sixty-two weeks, the Anointed One will be cut off and have nothing. The people of the ruler who will come will destroy the city and the sanctuary. The end will come like a flood, and desolation has been decreed until the end of the war.
