11In Him we have also obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of the One who works all things according to the counsel of His will,
12so that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be to the praise of His glory.
8Therefore it says: 'When he ascended on high, he took the captives captive; he gave gifts to people.'
9But what does 'he ascended' mean except that he also descended to the lower parts of the earth?
10The one who descended is also the one who ascended far above all the heavens, so that he might fill all things.

18For through Him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
19So then, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of God's household,
10so that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known through the church to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places,
11according to the eternal purpose that He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
6and has made us a kingdom and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
