    4 Therefore, speak to them and say to them, 'This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Any man from the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart and puts the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face and then comes to the prophet—I, the LORD, will answer him myself in keeping with the multitude of his idols.'

    17 Therefore say: This is what the Lord God says: I will gather you from the nations, collect you from the lands where you have been scattered, and I will give you the land of Israel.

    18 When they arrive there, they will remove all its detestable things and all its abominations.

    19 I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their bodies and give them a heart of flesh.

    20 Then they will follow My statutes, keep My judgments, and carry them out. They will be My people, and I will be their God.

    21 But as for those whose hearts follow their detestable things and their abominations, I will bring their conduct down upon their own heads, declares the Lord God.

    30 Therefore, house of Israel, I will judge each of you according to your own ways, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.

    31 Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, house of Israel?

    22 From that day forward, the house of Israel will know that I am the LORD their God.

    23 The nations will know that the house of Israel went into exile because of their sin and unfaithfulness, so I hid my face from them and gave them into the hands of their enemies, and they all fell by the sword.

    31 When you offer your gifts and make your children pass through the fire, you defile yourselves with all your idols to this day. Shall I let you inquire of me, house of Israel? As surely as I live, declares the Sovereign LORD, I will not let you inquire of me.

    21 But I had concern for my holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the nations where they had gone.

    22 Therefore, say to the house of Israel: 'This is what the Lord GOD says: It is not for your sake that I am about to act, house of Israel, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone.
