    22 Therefore, say to the house of Israel: 'This is what the Lord GOD says: It is not for your sake that I am about to act, house of Israel, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations where you have gone.

    17 'Son of man, when the house of Israel lived in their own land, they defiled it with their conduct and actions. Their way was as unclean as a woman's impurity in my sight.

    18 So I poured out my wrath on them because of the blood they had shed on the land and because they had defiled it with their idols.

    9 Then your survivors will remember Me among the nations where they are taken captive—how I was grieved by their adulterous hearts that turned away from Me, and by their eyes which lusted after their idols. They will loathe themselves for the evil they have done and for all their detestable practices.

    10 And they will know that I am the LORD; I did not warn about bringing this disaster on them without cause.
