Hear the word of the LORD, O people of Israel! For the LORD has a charge against the inhabitants of the land: there is no truth, no steadfast love, and no knowledge of God in the land.

28So you shall say to them, 'This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the LORD their God or accept discipline; truth has perished and is cut off from their lips.'

20But like a woman unfaithful to her husband, so you, Israel, have been unfaithful to me,' declares the LORD.
21A voice is heard on the barren heights: the weeping and pleading of the people of Israel, because they have perverted their ways and have forgotten the LORD their God.
1Roam through the streets of Jerusalem, look and understand, search in her squares. If you find one person who acts justly and seeks truth, I will forgive the city.
14Justice is driven back, and righteousness stands far off, for truth has stumbled in the streets, and honesty cannot enter.

16Now therefore, hear the word of the Lord: You say, 'Do not prophesy against Israel and do not preach against the house of Isaac.'
1If Israel, declares the LORD, you will return to me, you must remove your detestable things from my presence and not wander away.
17You have wearied the Lord with your words. Yet you ask, 'How have we wearied Him?' By saying, 'Everyone who does evil is good in the eyes of the Lord, and He delights in them,' or 'Where is the God of justice?'
7For the vineyard of the Lord of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the people of Judah are the planting of His delight. He expected justice but saw bloodshed; He expected righteousness but heard cries of distress.
9Hear this, leaders of the house of Jacob and rulers of the house of Israel, you who despise justice and twist all that is right:
4This is what the LORD says: 'For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, because they have rejected the law of the LORD and have not kept His statutes. Their lies have led them astray, lies after which their ancestors walked.'
1Come near, O nations, to listen; and pay attention, O peoples! Let the earth hear, and all that fills it, the world and all its inhabitants.
15Though you, Israel, play the harlot, let not Judah become guilty. Do not go to Gilgal, do not go up to Beth Aven, and do not swear, 'As surely as the LORD lives!'
1The word of the Lord came to me, saying:
10The land is full of adulterers; because of the curse, the land mourns, and the pastures of the wilderness are dried up. Their course is evil, and their power is misused.
9Therefore I will still bring charges against you, declares the LORD, and against your children’s children I will bring charges.
35Therefore, O prostitute, hear the word of the LORD.

31You people of this generation, consider the word of the LORD: ‘Have I been a wilderness to Israel or a land of deep darkness? Why do my people say, “We are free to roam; we will come to you no more”?’
29Why do you bring charges against me? You have all rebelled against me,” declares the LORD.
13Therefore, thus says the Lord: Ask now among the nations, ‘Who has ever heard things like these? The virgin Israel has done something utterly appalling.
15Listen and pay attention! Do not be proud, for the LORD has spoken.
7How can I pardon you? Your children have forsaken Me and sworn by false gods. I satisfied them, but they committed adultery and gathered at the houses of prostitutes.
1The word of the LORD came to me, saying:
8For this, put on sackcloth, lament and wail, for the fierce anger of the LORD has not turned away from us.
4No one calls for justice, and no one pleads with integrity. They rely on empty words and speak lies; they conceive trouble and give birth to iniquity.
