25'Now, LORD, God of Israel, keep for Your servant David, my father, what You promised him: “You shall never fail to have a descendant to sit on the throne of Israel before Me, if only your descendants are careful to walk before Me as you have walked before Me.”'
5Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch. He will reign as king, act wisely, and execute justice and righteousness in the land.

29I will keep my steadfast love for him forever, and my covenant with him will remain faithful.

4For if you indeed carry out these commands, then kings who sit on David's throne will come through the gates of this palace, riding in chariots and on horses—they, their officials, and their people.

32Therefore, this is what the LORD says: I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite and his descendants. He will not have anyone dwelling among this people, nor will he see the good that I will do for my people, declares the LORD, because he has spoken rebellion against the LORD.
7But the Lord was not willing to destroy the house of David because of the covenant He had made with David, promising to give him and his descendants a lasting lamp.
14The Lord has given a command concerning you, Nineveh: 'Your name will no longer be perpetuated. Out of the house of your gods I will destroy the carved image and the cast idol. I will prepare your grave, for you are vile.'
