17 Therefore, this is what the Lord says: 'Your wife will become a prostitute in the city, your sons and daughters will fall by the sword, your land will be divided up with a measuring line, and you yourself will die in a polluted land. Israel will surely go into exile away from their homeland.'
8 You provoke me to anger with the works of your hands by burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you have come to live, so as to destroy yourselves and make yourselves a curse and a disgrace among all the nations of the earth.
9 Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, the wickedness of the kings of Judah, the wickedness of their wives, your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives, which they committed in the land of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
3 For this is what the LORD says about the sons and daughters born in this place, as well as their mothers who bear them and their fathers who father them in this land:

6 Old men, young men, virgins, children, and women—kill them all to the point of destruction. But do not go near anyone who has the mark. Begin at my sanctuary.' So they began with the elders who were in front of the temple.
7 Then he said to them, 'Defile the temple and fill the courts with the slain. Go out!' So they went out and struck down people in the city.
4 Circumcise yourselves to the LORD, and remove the foreskin of your hearts, men of Judah and inhabitants of Jerusalem. Otherwise, my wrath will break out like a fire and burn with no one to extinguish it, because of your wicked deeds.
16 And the people to whom they are prophesying will be thrown into the streets of Jerusalem because of famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them—them, their wives, their sons, or their daughters. I will pour out their wickedness upon them.
14 And I will shatter them, one against another, fathers and sons together,’ declares the LORD. ‘I will show no pity, no compassion, and no mercy to prevent their destruction.’
17 Now, kill every male among the children, and kill every woman who has had sexual relations with a man.
4 For they have abandoned Me and made this place foreign. They have burned incense here to other gods—gods that neither they, their ancestors, nor the kings of Judah have known. And they have filled this place with the blood of the innocent.

10 When you tell these people all these words, they will ask you, 'Why has the LORD declared such a great calamity against us? What is our guilt? What is the sin that we have committed against the LORD our God?'

14 The Lord has given a command concerning you, Nineveh: 'Your name will no longer be perpetuated. Out of the house of your gods I will destroy the carved image and the cast idol. I will prepare your grave, for you are vile.'
