20You even took the sons and daughters you bore to me and sacrificed them to the idols as food. Was your prostitution not enough?
21You slaughtered my children and offered them up by making them pass through fire to these idols.
11My eyes are worn out from weeping, my inner being is in turmoil; my heart is poured out on the ground because of the destruction of my people, as children and infants faint in the streets of the city.
12They cry out to their mothers, 'Where is the bread and the wine?' as they faint like the wounded in the streets of the city, and as they breathe their last in their mothers’ arms.
7Now therefore, thus says the LORD, the God of Hosts, the God of Israel: Why are you doing such great harm to yourselves, cutting off from Judah man, woman, child, and infant, leaving yourselves without any remnant?
20'For death has climbed in through our windows and entered our fortresses, cutting off children from the streets and young men from the public squares.'
21Speak, this is what the Lord declares: The dead bodies of people will fall like dung on the open field, like bundles left behind by the reaper, with no one to gather them.
9You drive the women of my people out of their pleasant homes. You take away my splendor from their children forever.
22Therefore, this is what the LORD of Hosts says: ‘I am about to punish them. Their young men will die by the sword, their sons and daughters will die by famine.’
3For this is what the LORD says about the sons and daughters born in this place, as well as their mothers who bear them and their fathers who father them in this land:
19These double calamities have come upon you—destruction and devastation, famine and sword. Who will console you?
20Your sons have fainted; they lie at the head of every street like antelopes caught in a net. They are filled with the wrath of the Lord, with the rebuke of your God.
11All her people groan as they search for bread; they trade their treasures for food to stay alive. "Look, LORD, and consider, for I am despised."
12"Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by? Look and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow, which was brought upon me, which the LORD inflicted on the day of his fierce anger.
16And the people to whom they are prophesying will be thrown into the streets of Jerusalem because of famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them—them, their wives, their sons, or their daughters. I will pour out their wickedness upon them.
17You are to speak this word to them: 'Let my eyes flow with tears night and day without ceasing, for the virgin daughter of my people has suffered a great shattering—a crushing blow, a grievous wound.'
18If I go out into the field, I see those slain by the sword. If I enter the city, I see the agonies of famine. Even the prophet and the priest wander aimlessly in the land and have no understanding.
56The most tender and delicate woman among you, so refined that she would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground, will begrudge the husband she loves, her son, and her daughter.
57She will secretly eat her afterbirth and the children she bears during the siege and suffering that your enemy inflicts upon your cities, because she is in dire need of food.

21Say to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Lord God says: Behold, I am about to profane my sanctuary—the pride of your power, the delight of your eyes, and the desire of your soul. Your sons and daughters whom you left behind shall fall by the sword.’
9The mother of seven has grown weak and faint; she has breathed her last. Her sun has set while it was still day; she has been disgraced and humiliated. And the remnant of them I will deliver to the sword in the presence of their enemies,' declares the LORD.

20But, LORD of Hosts, who judges righteously and tests the heart and mind, let me see your vengeance on them, for I have presented my case to you.
33Any man of yours that I do not cut off from My altar will only remain to weep his eyes out and to grieve his heart, and all your descendants will die in the prime of life.
7The Lord has rejected his altar and disowned his sanctuary. He has delivered into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces. They raised their voices in the house of the LORD as on a day of appointed festival.
4How long will the land mourn and the grass in the fields wither? Because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it, the beasts and the birds are swept away. For they said, 'He will not see our end.'
2Hear, O heavens, and give ear, O earth, for the LORD has spoken: "I have raised children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against Me.
17Do you not see what they are doing in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?
17They will consume your harvest and your bread, devour your sons and daughters, eat your flocks and herds, and consume your vines and fig trees. With the sword, they will destroy your fortified cities in which you trust.
13Put on sackcloth and mourn, you priests; wail, you ministers of the altar. Come, spend the night in sackcloth, you who minister to my God, for grain offerings and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God.
12Even if they raise their children, I will bereave them of every one. Woe to them when I turn away from them!
7Within you, they have treated father and mother with contempt; they have oppressed the foreigner in your midst; they have wronged the orphan and the widow.
12Be appalled at this, you heavens, and shudder with great horror,” declares the LORD.
18Their bows will strike down the young men; they will show no mercy to the offspring of the womb, nor will they pity children.
17'Let them come quickly and lift up a lament over us so that our eyes may overflow with tears and our eyelids stream with water.'
6Ask now and see: Can a man give birth? Why then do I see every strong man with his hands on his stomach like a woman in labor, and every face turned pale?
10Yet she went into exile, carried away into captivity. Her infants were dashed to pieces at every street corner. Lots were cast for her nobles, and all her great men were bound in chains.
2They deprive the poor of justice and rob the rights of the needy among my people, making widows their spoil and leaving orphans to be plundered.
