14 And I will shatter them, one against another, fathers and sons together,’ declares the LORD. ‘I will show no pity, no compassion, and no mercy to prevent their destruction.’
17 The LORD has done what he planned; he has fulfilled his word that he decreed long ago. He has overthrown without pity; he has let the enemy gloat over you and exalt the horn of your adversaries.
26 O daughter of my people, put on sackcloth and roll in ashes; mourn as for an only son, with bitter lamentation, for suddenly the destroyer will come upon us.
