    19 If anyone leaves the house, their death will be on their own head, and we will not be guilty. But if harm comes to anyone in your house, we will take the blame.

We want to destroy the heir as well.' They will extinguish my remaining ember, leaving neither name nor remnant for my husband on the earth.

  • 5 At dusk, when it was time to close the city gate, the men left, and I don’t know where they went. Pursue them quickly, and you might catch up with them!"

  • 16 Judah replied, "What can we say to my lord? How can we speak or justify ourselves? God has uncovered the guilt of your servants. Here we are, my lord's slaves, both we and the one in whose possession the cup was found."

  • 15 However, we will agree to you on one condition: if you become like us by every male among you being circumcised.

  • 25 If the officials hear that I talked with you and come to you, saying, ‘Tell us what you said to the king and what the king said to you; do not hide it from us, or we will put you to death,’

  • 22 Only on this condition will the men agree to live with us and become one people: every male among us must be circumcised, just as they are.

  • 2 There is swearing, lying, murder, stealing, and adultery; they break all bounds, and bloodshed follows bloodshed.

  • 12 They said to him, "We have come down to tie you up and hand you over to the Philistines." Samson said to them, "Swear to me that you yourselves will not harm me."

  • 23 But if you do not do this, you will have sinned against the Lord. Be sure your sin will find you out.
