14Your wives, your children, and your livestock may remain in the land that Moses gave you on the east side of the Jordan. But you, all your strong warriors, fully armed, must cross ahead of your brothers and help them.
15Until the LORD gives your brothers rest, as He has given you, and they also take possession of the land the LORD your God is giving them, then you may return to the land of your possession and settle it—the land that Moses, the servant of the LORD, gave you east of the Jordan toward the sunrise.
18At that time I commanded you: 'The LORD your God has given you this land to take possession of it. All your fighting men, fully armed, must cross over ahead of your fellow Israelites.'
19'But your wives, children, and livestock—I know you have much livestock—may stay in the towns I have given you.'
20'You are to help your fellow Israelites until the LORD gives them rest, as He has done for you, and they too have taken possession of the land the LORD your God is giving them across the Jordan. After that, each of you may return to the possession I have given you.'
26'Take a count of the plunder that was captured, both man and beast, you and Eleazar the priest and the chief fathers of the congregation.'
