This very night your soul will be required of you, and the things you have prepared—who will they belong to?' 21 So it is with one who stores up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.

  • 17He must not take many wives for himself, or his heart will be led astray. He must not accumulate large amounts of silver and gold.

  • 18Do not let any of the things set apart for destruction cling to your hand, so that the LORD will turn from His fierce anger and show you mercy, have compassion on you, and increase you, as He swore to your ancestors.

  • 4However, there should be no poor among you, for the Lord will certainly bless you in the land He is giving you as an inheritance to possess.

  • 23You multiplied their descendants like the stars of heaven and brought them to the land You had promised their ancestors they would enter and take possession of.

  • 30For you had little before I came, but now it has increased greatly. The LORD has blessed you wherever I have been. But now, when can I provide for my own household?
