20 The priest was glad in his heart. He took the ephod, the household gods, and the carved image and went along with the people.

6 The priest replied to them, 'Go in peace. The LORD is watching over your journey.'
7 There was a young man from Bethlehem in Judah, from the family of Judah. He was a Levite, and he was residing there temporarily.
8 The man left the city of Bethlehem in Judah to find a place to stay. He traveled until he reached the hill country of Ephraim and came to Micah's house as part of his journey.
9 Micah asked him, 'Where are you coming from?' He replied, 'I am a Levite from Bethlehem in Judah, and I am traveling to find a place to stay.'
10 Micah said to him, 'Stay with me and be a father and a priest to me, and I will give you ten pieces of silver a year, a set of clothes, and your living expenses.' The Levite agreed to stay.
11 The Levite agreed to live with the man, and the young man became like one of his own sons.
12 Micah ordained the Levite, and the young man became his priest and lived in Micah's house.
13 Then Micah said, 'Now I know that the LORD will be good to me, because I have a Levite as my priest.'
4 So when he returned the silver to his mother, she took two hundred pieces of silver and gave them to a silversmith, who made them into a carved image and a cast idol. And they were placed in Micah's house.
5 Now this man Micah had a shrine, and he made an ephod and household idols, and he consecrated one of his sons to become his priest.
13 From there they continued on to the hill country of Ephraim and arrived at Micah's house.
14 Then the five men who had gone to scout out the land of Laish said to their fellow Danites, 'Do you know that in these houses there's an ephod, household gods, a carved image, and a cast idol? Now think about what you should do.'
15 So they turned aside there and went to the house of the young Levite, at Micah's house, and asked him how he was doing.
28 Did I not choose them from all the tribes of Israel to be My priests, to go up to My altar, to burn incense, and to wear an ephod in My presence? And I gave to your forefather’s family all the offerings made by fire from the Israelites.
9 Is it not enough for you that the God of Israel has set you apart from the rest of the Israelite community to bring you near to Himself to do the work of the Lord's tabernacle and to stand before the assembly to minister to them?
10 He has brought you and all your fellow Levites near to Him, but now you are demanding the priesthood as well!
23 They called out to the Danites, who turned to face them, and said to Micah, 'What’s the matter with you, that you have called your men together?'
24 Micah replied, 'You’ve taken my gods that I made and my priest and gone away! What else do I have? How can you ask me, “What’s the matter with you?”'
25 The Danites said to him, 'Don’t raise your voice with us, or some bitter-tempered men might attack you, and you and your family could lose your lives.'
1 Then the LORD said to Aaron, 'You, your sons, and your father's family with you will bear the responsibility for offenses related to the sanctuary. Also, you and your sons with you will bear the responsibility for offenses connected to your priesthood.'
2 Bring your brothers from the tribe of Levi, your ancestral tribe, to join you and assist you while you and your sons serve before the tent of the testimony.
17 And some of the elders of the land stood up and spoke to the whole assembly of the people, saying:
9 Have you not driven out the priests of the LORD, the descendants of Aaron, and the Levites, and appointed your own priests like the peoples of other lands? Whoever comes with a young bull and seven rams can become a priest of what are not gods.
36 Everyone left of your house will come and bow down to him for a piece of silver or a loaf of bread, and they will plead, ‘Please appoint me to some priestly office so I can have a morsel of bread to eat.’
19 Now listen to me; I will give you advice, and may God be with you. You must be the people's representative before God and bring their disputes to Him.
20 Transfer some of your authority to him so that the whole assembly of the Israelites will follow him.
27 The Danites took what Micah had made, along with his priest, and came to Laish, to a peaceful and unsuspecting people. They struck them down with the sword and burned the city with fire.
17 Then Eli answered, 'Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant you what you have asked of Him.'
23 If you do this and God so commands, you will be able to endure, and all these people will go home satisfied and at peace.
18 The man answered, "We are traveling from Bethlehem in Judah to the remote parts of the hill country of Ephraim, where I am from. I have been to Bethlehem in Judah, and I am going to the house of the Lord, but no one has taken me into their home.
19 While Saul was talking to the priest, the commotion in the Philistine camp kept increasing. So Saul said to the priest, 'Withdraw your hand.'
6 You will be for Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.' These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.
3 Then one of them said, "Please come with your servants." And he answered, "I will go."
14 And you answered me and said, 'What you have proposed is good for us to do.'
15 But even before the fat was burned, the priest’s servant would come and say to the man offering the sacrifice, ‘Give the priest some meat to roast; he won’t accept boiled meat from you, but only raw.’
20 The old man said, "Peace to you! Let me take care of all your needs, but do not spend the night in the square."
6 I myself have chosen your brothers, the Levites, from among the Israelites as a gift to you, dedicated to the LORD for their service at the tent of meeting.
5 For the LORD your God has chosen him and his sons out of all your tribes to stand and minister in the name of the LORD forever.
9 Go to the Levitical priests and to the judge who is in office at that time. Inquire of them, and they will give you the verdict.
19 Then the people said to me, 'Will you not tell us what these things mean for us, since you are acting this way?'
1 Some of the elders of Israel came to me and sat down in front of me.
8 When they returned to their brothers in Zorah and Eshtaol, their brothers asked them, 'What do you report?'
