27but as a witness between us and you and the generations that follow, that we will worship the LORD at His sanctuary with our burnt offerings, sacrifices, and fellowship offerings.’ Then in the future, your descendants will not be able to say to ours, ‘You have no share in the LORD.’
20You will show faithfulness to Jacob and steadfast love to Abraham, as You promised to our fathers in days of old.
29"Now, Lord, you can let your servant depart in peace, according to your word.
24We did this because we feared that someday your descendants might say to ours, ‘What do you have to do with the LORD, the God of Israel?’
13He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves,
27So You handed them over to their enemies, who oppressed them. But in their time of distress, they cried out to You, and You heard from heaven. In Your great mercy, You gave them deliverers, who rescued them from the hand of their enemies.
